About the firm
Principal: Geoff Noxon, M.Sc., P.Eng.
In 2025, Geoff re-opened Noxon Associates to provide strategy and communications services to Canadian transportation organizations. He originally founded the firm in 2001 after six years with Delcan (now Parsons) and another six years with the Ottawa-Carleton regional government where he led sustainable mobility planning and programs. With Noxon Associates he spent 17 years working with governments and national NGOs to develop effective strategies for active transportation, public transit, and transportation demand management.
From 2018 to 2025, Geoff was Director of Technical Programs with the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC). There, he was responsible for the development of national technical guidance, managed a network of 1,000 volunteers on 30 councils and committees, created an online training program, delivered webinars and awards, and oversaw Canada’s only remaining transportation library.
Geoff is a long-time TAC volunteer and recipient of its Award for Service. He is a 37-year member of ITE, and in 2025 he received the Ata Khan Lifetime Achievement Award from ITE Canada’s National Capital Section. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University.
